Dear Friends and Family,
Our last update a few weeks ago was filled with questions. God had not seen fit to overrule the present obstacles in flying the airplane to Mongolia, and the pilot and plane were forced to return to the contiguous states. We weren't sure what God's plan or purpose for all this was, but we chose to keep trusting God and seeking His plan. (See the whole story on previous posts.)
Ready to regroup and refocus, we left for the countryside almost immediately to spend time in the remote town of Muren with our friends and co-workers the Dally's, in discussion about God's plan for work here in Mongolia. We spent a few days living in their Ger with them, and then helped them move into the newly remodeled mission home near the Muren church where they are working as leaders. It was refreshing and encouraging to see how God has provided for their visas through a local hospital in Muren, and is using them to perfectly meet the needs of the local church for leadership. Also, everywhere they go, their skills as physicians are used to help ease the discomforts and ailments of friends and neighbors. (see more at: www.mongoliamedicalmissions.org)
While we were with them, we continued to receive news from our contacts in the aviation department here in the capitol city of Ulaanbaatar. Since we arrived in Mongolia the Mongolia Civil Aviation Authorities have grounded the few planes (crop dusters) that were allowed to use the 95 octane fuel-type that we were planning on using - there is still no avgas available in Mongolia. The MCAA is planning to write laws totally banning the use of the only fuel in this country that we could have used. Other laws concerning registration and navigation have also been levied, currently grounding the only other foreign registered aircraft, and limiting even local airlines. It became increasingly clear to us that even if we had been able to bring the airplane here, it may have sat useless on the ground.
With the doors for aviation closed here for the time being, we prayed for God to give us a burden for another direction for work here, or show us what else He would have us do at this time. Within a few days, God opened doors in an unmistakably providential manner for us to return to the states to further Beaver's education in the line of Family Nurse Practitioner. Lord willing, in as little as a year and a half from this January, Beaver can graduate and we can again be ready to attempt to re-enter Mongolia with the airplane, or follow God's leading elsewhere. The University is also allowing Beaver to teach so that when his education is complete, we will have no student loans! Praise God!
Things have happened here rapidly, including God selling our apartment here in the city within two days of listing it, to the first visitor! The money from this apartment will enable us to almost completely pay off both the apartment and airplane loans, relieving us of a huge personal burden, and making the airplane available for mission service elsewhere. It is with mixed emotions that we are packing to leave Mongolia shortly. Leaving our friends, our dreams, our home, our plans, we have had to recognize again that nothing is ours, and everything is God's. We are sad, but we are also happy. Education that can further allow us to relieve the burdens of sick and sorrowing ones is an absolute gift, and we praise God for this opportunity.
We have tried to explain what has happened in brief, but if you have any questions about specifics, please feel free to e-mail us! The funds donated for Mongolia Medical Aviation will now go directly towards supporting the work that Joshua and Ruth Dally are doing in Muren. If you would like to donate directly to the Dally's, you can still donate through GMI, listing Mongolia Medical Mission with Joshua and Ruth Dally.
We want to say a special "Thank You" to each of you who have made this mission possible!! It is only by the Grace of God that we have had opportunity to work here and we pray that people here and elsewhere have been blessed. We pray that God will lead us back here after Beaver finishes Nurse Practitioner training, but we are open to His leading. We are so thankful that Joshua and Ruth Dally will continue to be shining lights for God here in Mongolia! Thank you for your continued prayers, as we know that wherever we are, there are people dying without a knowledge of Jesus Christ. May each of us seek God's leading in our lives throughout this coming year! (Isaiah 30:21)
God bless you and yours this Holiday Season!
In His Service,
Beaver, Rebecca, and Zoe Eller

Have been wondering what happened after your plane didn't get clearance. And I knew you were back in the states. So finally I noticed my bookmark to your blog. I'm just slow.
We still pray for God to lead you wherever that may be.
